Right on cue wind went enough N to kite as tide hit the sand at 2pm. Gusty near jetty so after launch headed along cob to join Laurence. Wind cleaner, still gusty but OK. Averaged half-depower on 11m. Did some toeside turns after bombing the first one, but nervous of gusts didn't use enough power on some. Tried a few step on starts which mostly turned into drags, but good to try something new. Long walk back in across sands on low Low as didn't want to chance landing near jetty in case gusty. Just about 4* as pleased with sailing well in strong gusts.
